Love it, or List it.....
When my hubbie and I put our first home on the market, it sold immediately! Which left us pressured to find somewhere new to live FAST! There wasn't much available in our budget at the time and we wound up in a house that was "good enough". Unfortunately 7 years later, that "good enough" house is still irking me. The layout is a back-split style home which isn't our first choice for a home style. We would prefer a more traditional colonial style home.
After completing gutting and re-modeling the kitchen, master bathroom and laundry room, we've recently called in a local realestate expert who informed us that we would actually lose money on the house if we sold in today's market (we owe less than the market value, but would lose money compared to the original purchase price plus improvements)
So the question remains - do we take the loss and move on to a house layout that better suits our family? Or suck it up and continue to make the improvements that we want - (main bathroom renovation, entryway remodel, powder room remodel, etc.)
Here are a few pictures of the house that are posted on zillow!

Sigh - the debate continues....
