New Year, New Goals!

Time to start decluttering!  I've noticed that the majority of my time at home is spent moving STUFF around, cleaning up, putting it away, organizing it....and most of it is stuff that I don't need, or don't want.

Why am I wasting my time stressing over STUFF?!  I know, I know, it's January and organizing and decluttering is always at the top of resolutions, BUT with the help of the "KonMari" method...I'm more motivated than usual ;).

Here's to simplifying in 2016!

Pledge Wood Floor Cleaner

New Product Alert!

Ok well, new to me anyway....I was wandering through Sams Club and found this Pledge wood floor cleaner on sale for $7.44 (for THREE bottles!).  I scooped them up to try it out on our entryway hardwood floors.  I followed the instructions and squirted a bunch of the cleaner on the floor and used a dry mop that I had on hand (it actually came with the Bona Wood Floor cleaner).

The floors turned out fabulous!!!  No streaks or cloudiness, which I've experienced with other floor cleaners.  I did have to spend a tiny bit more time on a couple of spots, but that's normal for me while cleaning the floors.  Oh and NO footprints!  I don't know about you but after I clean my floors sometimes there is a leftover residue that causes footprints :( - not with this product!!  My floors look brand new (ok, well minus the few dings and dents from life with two active little boys).

So if you are looking to try a different wood floor cleaner, try this one out. :)

*I am not affiliated with pledge nor was I compensated or given any free products - just a normal consumer looking for a floor cleaner - all opinions are my own*

Love it or List it!

Love it, or List it.....
When my hubbie and I put our first home on the market, it sold immediately!  Which left us pressured to find somewhere new to live FAST!  There wasn't much available in our budget at the time and we wound up in a house that was "good enough".  Unfortunately 7 years later, that "good enough" house is still irking me.  The layout is a back-split style home which isn't our first choice for a home style.  We would prefer a more traditional colonial style home.

After completing gutting and re-modeling the kitchen, master bathroom and laundry room, we've recently called in a local realestate expert who informed us that we would actually lose money on the house if we sold in today's market (we owe less than the market value, but would lose money compared to the original purchase price plus improvements)

So the question remains - do we take the loss and move on to a house layout that better suits our family?  Or suck it up and continue to make the improvements that we want - (main bathroom renovation, entryway remodel, powder room remodel, etc.)

Here are a few pictures of the house that are posted on zillow!

2nd Bedroom (24'x12')

Sigh - the debate continues....

Fall Wishlist!

A few of my favorite items for Fall!

Rag & Bones Booties (sigh....a girl can dream)

A nice Brown bag....I've always strayed away from brown and stayed safe with black, but now I'm itching for a brown leather bag for fall (while keeping function in mind)

Michael Kors Jet Set Tote

Coach Turnlock Tote

A nice pair of Tall Riding Boots

Maybe a new fall makeup look (courtesy of Neiman Marcus)
- well it helps to have flawless skin, or photoshop airbrushing ;)

I'm Back!

After a long "vacation" away from blogging, I'm back for the Fall!

So let me share my OOTD for 10/1/2013 - I have the most difficult time getting dressed in the morning - it's around 50-55 degrees when I leave the house, but around 80 degrees when I leave work.  I usually end up either freezing in the morning or completely overdressed and sweating in the afternoon.  So I took a layered approach:

Denim Jacket from Target to start the day
(sorry for the work bathroom pictures)

LOVE these shoes (Liz Claiborne from DSW - old)
Blouse: JCrew (old), Skirt: JCrew navy super 120s, earrings: Chloe & Isabel
