I'm Back!

After a long "vacation" away from blogging, I'm back for the Fall!

So let me share my OOTD for 10/1/2013 - I have the most difficult time getting dressed in the morning - it's around 50-55 degrees when I leave the house, but around 80 degrees when I leave work. I usually end up either freezing in the morning or completely overdressed and sweating in the afternoon. So I took a layered approach:

Friday Finds

Happy Friday everyone!!
Lately I've been a bit obsessed with workout clothing and gear, here are a few of my latest purchases!

I highly recommend TurboFire for anyone looking to up their cardio, and get into shape. The teacher is amazing, the music is awesome (I mean who wouldn't love doing jumping jacks to "Play that Funky Music White Boy" lol) and the workout is intense! For one 30 minute workout, I blew through about 380 calories! Not too shabby! Maybe, just maybe, I'll post some before and after pictures once I'm done the program.

Also these new Adidas Boost sneaks are pretty sick, the cushioning is awesome and I have been wearing these constantly since buying them!

Today's Outfit - BLUE!

I've been in love with the Juniper necklace from Stella and Dot since seeing Tara at Mix Match Fashion Blog sporting hers. Tara is a Stella and Dot stylist and I would highly recommend purchasing through her if you are interested in any Stella and Dot goodies!! :)

Inspired by the colors of this necklace - I pulled out my cobalt blue blouse and my teal skirt and found the perfect colorful outfit for a 90+ degree day at the office.

The Great Gatsby

I'm dying to see the new Great Gatsby movie! With two boys ages 6 and under, its a bit difficult to get out of the house and convince the hubby to see this movie with me - but I'm completely inspired by all of the film images showing up on the web!

Carey Mulligan looks absolutely stunning, her hair, makeup, clothes and jewelry is completely perfect!
Inspired by these images, I pulled some similar jewelry items from Chloe + Isabel's current line.

Another actress in the movie is Elizabeth Debicki - again she's gorgeous and the costumes and jewelry is just stunning! Her character is styled a bit darker, so I included some more of Chloe + Isabel's art deco pieces in this collage.

And finally Isla Fisher! I've always loved her!

Silly!

So after watching a few Youtube videos from one of my favorite Makeup Guru's - KandeeJ,

I got a bit adventurous! I purchased this neon pink lipliner from MAC called "Silly". Once I got it home, I realized that it's a perfect match for my Maybelline BabyLips lip balm in Pink Punch! Woohoo!

The top color is the Maybelline BabyLips lip balm in Pink Punch, the bottom line is the MAC lipliner in Silly

I totally could not get a good lip photo so this one will have to do (why do my lips look so goofy?!)

how do makeup bloggers get those cool shots of their pretty lip colors?

...and bonus - it includes my gorgeous new necklace! :)

Work Blues

Today I went with a cobalt blue theme - I've seriously been loving this color recently, normally I pair with bright pink but today I went with a gray pencil skirt and let the blue take center stage.

My outfit also features my Brand NEW Chloe + Isabel statement necklace - the entire outfit was basically created around wearing this necklace today!

It's a bit difficult to tell with the lighting of my pictures but my heels are a bright patent cobalt blue as well - love them! :)

Unfortunately the cardigan is necessary due to the frigid temperature in my office today.

Striped Peplum

The weather has finally warmed up a bit - so I pulled out this new black and white striped peplum top from The Limited. I paired it with a black pencil skirt and a gorgeous new necklace that I purchased from JCrew Factory for $30, seriously $30!

I wore my Tory Burch Revas only to commute to work and planned on switching them out for a pair of heels but that never happened, these are just too comfortable!
